While working on the trail corridor, BRTA is uncovering opportunities for downtown revitalization, housing, commercial and retail. When needed, we assist the towns with meetings among key players, writing grants or whatever is needed to enhance the town.
Downtown Park for Glen Alpine – The western terminus of the Burke River Trail, the gathering space will spur downtown revitalization
Royal Park for Hildebran – The eastern terminus of the Burke River Trail, the park is under construction and donations are being accepted.
Old Glory Mill for Rhodhiss – A town center that includes housing, jobs, safe transportation, outdoor recreation and tourism while preserving the rich heritage of the town.
