Around 125 people took part in the Glen Alpine in the Street Committee’s first event – Pickin’ in the Streets including Senator Warren Daniel and wife Lydia. Aldermen Reid Scott and Luke Boone continue to be supportive of advancements in the town and work with the volunteers to make things happen.
The next meeting of the volunteer group is Tuesday June 11 at 6pm at Glen Alpine Town Hall. Thanks to Foxhole Pizza And Subs, Glen Alpine PTO and BRTA – plus sponsors Teresa and Dave Reep and James and Linda Glick. Another thanks to the Pickers who provided the entertainment. A lively downtown and people connecting was the goal of the Glen Alpine volunteer group and the first event was a huge success. Community pride is alive and well in Glen Alpine.
